Dr Etienne Raffner is one of the founders and Directors at The Oving Medical Clinic and a Specialist Grade Maxillofacial & Oral Surgeon. Dr Raffner completed his dental degree in 2008 and his medical degree in 2013, both at the University of the Witwatersrand (WITS) in South Africa. His comprehensive higher surgical training includes experience in Trauma Surgery, General Surgery, A&E, Orthopaedics, and Maxillo-Facial & Oral Surgery — laying the foundation for his broad clinical knowledge and surgical expertise.
Since moving to the UK in 2017, he has developed specialist interests in facial trauma, skin cancer surgery (with over 10 years of experience), orthognathic (jaw corrective) surgery, as well as surgical and non-surgical aesthetic treatments.
He also plays an active role as a core OMFS member of the Kent & Sussex Skin Cancer Multidisciplinary Team.
Dr Raffner ensures that he is up to date with the highest standards of safety, ethics, evidence-based medicine and clinical excellence. His warm, honest approach helps patients feel supported and informed at every stage of their journey.

Outside the clinic, Dr Raffner is a proud husband and father to three beautiful children. A lifelong sports fanatic, he enjoys rugby, running, and golf — always embracing life with energy and enthusiasm.
