Understanding Rosacea
Rosacea typically begins as a tendency to flush or blush easily, then progresses to persistent redness across the cheeks, nose, chin and forehead. As the condition develops, small visible blood vessels (telangiectasia) may appear on the skin surface, and in some cases small red bumps or pustules can form.
Common triggers that can worsen rosacea include sun exposure, hot drinks, spicy food, alcohol, stress and temperature changes. While trigger avoidance and gentle skincare can help manage flare-ups, the persistent redness and visible blood vessels usually require targeted treatment to reduce.
