Understanding Thread Veins
Thread veins form when small blood vessels near the skin's surface become dilated and visible. On the face, they most commonly appear on the cheeks, around the nose, and on the chin. They can occur alone or in clusters, and may be associated with rosacea, sun damage, genetics, or simply develop with age.
While thread veins are harmless, many people seek treatment because they find them cosmetically bothersome — particularly facial thread veins, which are difficult to conceal and can affect confidence.
Broadband light is one of the most effective treatments for facial thread veins, as it targets the blood vessel directly without damaging the surrounding skin.
How Thread Veins Are Treated
BBL HEROic delivers precise pulses of broadband light that are absorbed by the haemoglobin within the targeted blood vessel. The light energy causes the vessel to collapse; the body then naturally reabsorbs it over the following weeks, so the vein fades from view.
